Main Programme Grants are considered twice a year and offer amounts in excess of £2,500 (the average grant is £7,700). Fast Track Grants are available from February 2019 on a rolling basis - you can apply any time for amounts between £50 - £2,500.
Tower Hill Trust - Main Programme and Biodiversity Grants
This Trust runs two grant programmes. Main Programme Grants support the development and provision of gardens and open spaces across the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This is the main priority of the Trust, however on occasion Trustees are able to support charitable activity that focuses on:
The provision and support of facilities for recreation and leisure‐time occupation;
The provision and support of educational facilities;
The relief of poverty.
The Biodiversity Grant Programme offers amounts from £100 to £2000 to support biodiversity enhancements by schools, charities and community groups in school grounds, around housing estates or in community gardens. At least 50% of your project must directly contribute to objectives and targets in the Tower Hamlets Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP). The Biodiversity Grant Programme has an off-line application form and you can apply at any time - please contact the Grant Officer if you are interested in making an application.
If you are unclear if your project is eligible for any of these funds please call the Grant Officer for advice.
